Pete Moore Mitsubishi Serving Crestview, Florida

Crestview, FL Collage
If any city in Florida has the most diverse range of climates and environments, then it would have to be Crestview. Located in the middle of Florida’s famous “Panhandle” region, Crestview undergoes more seasonal changes throughout the year than any area in the state. It is these changes that make Crestview an interesting destination to travel to in the upper Florida region.
Just like many cities in the state of Florida, Crestview’s origins lie with the rapidly growing railroad system in the United States during the late 1800s. As more and more railroad traffic travelled through the region, a city ultimately began to emerge. That city would officially become incorporated as Crestview in 1916.
A year after the city of Crestview was incorporated, it was named the county seat for Florida’s Okaloosa County, a position that the city holds to this very day. With this position, Crestview upholds a standard expectation of its neighboring cities and maintains this standard among its residents.
Crestview draws its name from its location between the Yellow and Shoal Rivers, two rivers that are beautiful to visit and definitely something we recommend seeing. These two rivers are not the only natural wonders that make up the environment Crestview resides in. Crestview is in close proximity to Florida’s Gulf Coast. Meanwhile, there are plenty of nature trails and forests to explore located right outside the city. So if you are looking for a little bit of everything when it comes to nature, Crestview has a variety of environments for you to see!
One unique aspect about Crestview, being a Florida city, is its ever-changing climate. The Crestview region receives some chilly falls and cold winters. This phenomenon has earned the city the title of “the icebox of Florida.” However, the variable climate allows the citizens of Crestview to experience a wide range of seasons and further appreciate each one as it changes to the next.
The next time you pass through the panhandle of Florida, be sure to stop into Crestview to get a good view of Florida’s diverse natural beauty.  Stop in to Pete Moore Mitsubishi, near Crestview, and browse our great selection of New Mitsubishi models, great used models, and our superb service department.
